Information and advice about raising venture capital

Here are some links that you might find useful when learning about the VC market and how to go about raising risk capital:

WestMidlandsFinance.com provides a list of sources of funding and advice in the West Midlands.

The British Venture Capital Association publishes a range of information about the VC industry and its members.

TheFunded.com is an independent website where people who have been through the fund raising process can post anonymous comments on the VC funds they have dealt with.  It also has a range of advice and information about selecting an investor.  The site was only launched in the summer of 2007 but has rapidly grown from its base in the USA to include the majority of VC funds in Europe.

2wm is a regional site developed in partnership with the Regional Development Agency (Advantage West Midlands), BT, Coventry University and the European Commission. It includes links to business support, land and property searches, jobs, grants, news and events. 

Business Link West Midlands has recently completely reorganised its business support services.
